Satellite TV Decoder Card.

Watch digital TV and listen to digital radio on your PC: With WinTV-NEXUS in your PC, you can receive digital television and radio with perfect picture and audio quality. More than 300 digital satellite channels are currently available, and more are added monthly. In addition, you can receive videotext transmitted along with the digital TV signal.

Write a VCL file that allows other peoples later to descramble the same program from a VCR. The file name is optional (e.g. 'season7 otest.vcl'), and if you don't specify one, Season7 generates one using date, time (hour rounded up by 5 minutes), satellite name and transponder number (VCmmddhh.stt). Season7 will ask you about the satellite, the transponder number and what you are recording and stores this information together with the time in the VCL file header. The 'o' option automatically activates the passive mode, so you'll have to connect a real card to the adapter (mode a), because Season7 only listens. Make sure you have set the system clock and environment variable TZ correctly.

A receiver/decoder for use in a digital satellite radio or television system includes a decoder and means to accommodate a credit or bank card carrying a microprocessor, and means to interact with said microprocessor when the credit or bank card is inserted into an operative position in said receiver/decoder in order to enable data carried by said credit or bank card to be read and data to be input to the microprocessor carried by said credit or bank card. A PIN number may be transmitted to the receiver/decoder in a secure fashion by means of a remote controller, which is also described. Applications of the invention include Pay-Per-View television, teleshopping and telebanking.

A satellite TV decoder works in tandem with the programming card in order to enable the subscriber to receive an unscrambled and you can watch the channels. Illegal satellite TV decoder enables non-subscribers to view these programs.

The hardware processing of TeraLogic's Janus 8VSB decoder ensures that today's PC's will have plenty of power. The single card design with breakout cable includes video input from S-Video and Composite sources. Both RF inputs can tune ATSC or NTSC. MyHD card features HDTV recording to your hard drive or upcoming support of IEEE 1394 based D-VHS tape (Windows XP only). Record HDTV, image capture of HD images, up-convert NTSC, it's all possible with the MDP-100 HDTV card. Full featured remote control is included for easy navigation of channels and formats.

This Hauppauge WinTV product has only an analog broadcast tuner and will require a converter box after February 17, 2009 to receive over-the-air broadcasts with an antenna in the United States because of the transition to digital broadcasting in North America. Analog only TV receivers will continue to work as before with cable TV and satellite TV receivers, plus other video devices such as camcorders and VCRs.

You will receive no satellite TV service without the satellite TV decoder working with the programming card. Make sure that you have the latest satellite TV decoder to receive the proper signals and watch your favorite programs again.

Super Internet TV allows you to watch 880+ live television channels and listen to 1000+ online radio stations from 100+ countries. There is no need for a TV Tuner card because all the channels are streamed through your Internet connection.

TV-Out and S/PDIF Out: You can attach a television set to the composite video output of the WinTV-NEXUS to watch TV on your home television set. You can even play your recorded digital TV shows from disk to your TV set!

TV Player Classic is a program for viewing online internet TV channels on the TV or computer display. This software allows you to watch 1200+ live television channels from 100+ countries. There is no need for a TV Tuner card because all the channels are streamed through your Internet connection. For most TV a modem speed of 56Kb/s is required, for the broadband TV stations you need 300 Kb/s.

To receive free to air satellite TV and radio channels you need a satellite dish and digital satellite receiver. There are many equipment choices available to you, with a range of quality receivers and different sized dishes. Note - the actual television screen/monitor does not need to be anything more than a standard everyday tv set, however normal televisions are often bulky and require additional attention in both packing and space. The new LCD screens available with built-in speakers is a good solution and can also be used as your computer monitor if required.

Digital satellite also receives radio micro-waves, but what is transmitted on these waves are computer signals, the '0s and 1s' that your PC also uses. A digital satellite receiver is in fact a single-purpose computer, and if you are used to PCs it is helpful to think of it as such: it is limited by installed computer memory, it has an operating system, and its software may have bugs and need to be reset like any computer: pull out the power plug.

The Web pages are automatically cached in the computer hard drive (connected by PC card to the satellite receiver) whether the computer is on or in standby mode. This is not true interactive Internet, but it is super-fast, family-friendly Web browsing--and sufficient for many users, since surveys show that most Web users rarely go to more than 16 or 17 sites on any regular basis. Added to that are three TV channels--CNN, ANN, and Bloomberg, plus a real-time Microsoft ticker tape of stock exchange information--which are Internet-delivered onto the viewer's PC--and this is not cached viewing; these are real-time video-streamed TV channels.

Get over 3000 Satellite Stations on your PC or Laptop for a small one-time fee! Watch thousands of channels LIVE within seconds with excellent digital picture and sound quality.

Other successful hacks involved sampling the datastream between the card and the decoder, for example you could record a movie and store the decoder information so that people could then use it to decode the same movie that they recorded earlier with a decoder and "dummy" card (the dummy smartcard was an interface that received the synchronised decryption seeds from a computer). The attack was known as the Delayed Data Transfer hack and it worked because the conditional access data, decoder addressing and encrypted keys, were on the video lines that are recorded by normal VCRs and the data rate, unlike that of Teletext, was slow enough to allow the data to be recorded with the encrypted video.

The most successful hack on the VideoCrypt system is the "McCormac Hack" devised by John McCormac. This attack involved broadcasting the decryption keys from the decoder-card data live so that other decoders could use it to watch the encrypted channels effectively sharing a card with several decoders. This particular attack is extremely dangerous if the internet is used to redistribute the decryption keys since a single card can be used, virtually, in a multitude of decoders. Card Sharing is an implementation of the McCormac Hack.

S26X also has an optional companion hardware MPEG4 DECODER card that can simultaneously output multiple-channel MPEG4/H.264 video/audio directly to multiple TVs, or to one TV with multiple video windows, including displaying live video streamed over from remote sites immediately to TV screens in realtime - very useful in building video matrix environment for video surveillance centres, satellite TV monitoring stations, etc - making it possible for customers to build a complete hardware MPEG4/H.264 video end-to-end encoder+decoder system. Separate software and SDK are available for the decoder card.

Price drop - This exciting new product will allow you to record a satellite channel, watch another satellite channel (on the same TP) and record standard definition digital TV from your antenna. Use it for recording mostSelecTV, Aurora, free to air etc Will require a conditional access module if using a smartcard. Click on the image for more details.

You can also use this adapter circuit to allow a PC to listen to the data traffic between a decoder and a real card. Just connect the real card and the adapter parallel to the decoder and don't let the PC software transmit anything. Suitable card slots are available for little money from various manufacturers (see below for addresses). For more details about the protocol, check ISO 7816-3.
